Day 2 - From Entebbe we head towards Lake Mburo National Park, approximately 4-5 hours drive from Entebbe. A lovely stop over en route from the gorillas to Entebbe. Overnight at the either Lake Mburo Tented camp (located inside the park), or at Mihingo Lodge on the edge of the park. Both accommodations have their own charm, and offer guests an intimate surrounding in which to relax. All meals included.

Days 3 & 4 - After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Bwindi via the pretty highlands of the western side of Uganda.  You will spend two nights at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, in preparation for gorilla tracking in the forest. Permits need to be pre purchased. There is also a host of other things to do in the area including forest walks (guided or un-guided shorter ones), curio shopping, visit the local orphanage, the pygmies, and local hospitals - as well as freely wander around the village.

Days 5, 6 & 7 - There is a second opportunity to go gorilla tracking on the morning of day five, subject to permits being available (pre-book). For those not trekking, there is time to explore Bwindi area or relax at your lodge. From Bwindi, we head to southern Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha Sector.  We will be spending three nights in QENP area allowing time to explore the park and of course to visit the lodges in the area. Your nights will be spent at Ishasha Wilderness tented camp, and/or at Mweya Lodge in the north of the park, with all meals included.

Day 8 - To Kibale Forest - a 2-3 hour drive from QENP (north) on good roads. On a clear day you may get views of the Rwenzoris in the distance. Two nights spent in the area to allow time for chimpanzee tracking in the forest, (permits must be pre purchased). You can also do a forest walk (guided) during your stay, or simply enjoy the area and perhaps visit the Bigodi Swamps, or the Vanilla Farm close to Ndali. All meals included.

Day 9 - Chimpanzee Tracking - This activity will generally take place in the morning. You will either be driven or walk down to the Kibale Forest National Parks' headquarters to meet your guides for your morning's chimp tracking experience (depending which lodge you are staying at!). The forest is alive with noise and you should be lucky enough to see the habituated chimps during your trek.

Day 10 - Depart after an early breakfast for the drive back to Entebbe, stopping for curio shopping on the roadside and a quick photo stop at the Equator. Arriving back in Entebbe, late afternoon. Rest of the day is at leisure.
