15-day Ultimate East Africa Safari

The following is a brief itinerary for a combination safari including Gorilla trekking, chimpanzees, game in Uganda, and bird-life, with the Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Manyara National parks of Tanzania. It has to be the ultimate safari adventure in Africa, combining all the icons in one well-paced trip! The following itinerary has been based on joining two scheduled lodge safaris together, offering excellent value for money.

Excludes:  visas if required, personal travel insurance, drinks & tips, gorilla trekking permits - USD 500 Bwindi or Rwanda, chimpanzee trekking optional at Chamburu (QENP) at USD30 per trek, flights between Entebbe/Nairobi /Kilimanjaro and International flights. Additional apt transfers Nairobi or Arusha, if needed charter flight option in Uganda, return airport transfer to Kilimanjaro, or other airport, or shuttle bus

Day 1 - Arrive Entebbe. Airport transfer. Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary excursion, overnight Lake Victoria Hotel.

Day 2 - Drive or fly to Bwindi (or Rwanda, depending on where permits are held) to overnight at our lodge.

Day 3 - Gorilla tracking this morning (optional) or forest walk. Afternoon relax or explore local area on foot.

Day 4 - Optional second gorilla tracking or forest walk etc. Overnight Bwindi / Rwanda.

Day 5 - Drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Afternoon game drive of boat trip on the lake, or walk with local guide. Overnight tented camp or lodge.

Day 6 - Return to Entebbe via local markets etc, arrive late afternoon. Overnight Entebbe hotel, dinner for own account.

Day 7 - A morning transfer by boat to Ngamba Island, time to explore the area, and also opportunity to do either chimpanzee forest walk, or partake in the ‘Caregiver' programme. Overnight Ngamba.

Day 8 - Morning boat transfer to Entebbe for a morning flight to Nairobi (flight not included.) And on to Kilimanjaro airport. Met on arrival and transferred by road to Arusha to overnight hotel, breakfast only included.

Day 9 - Transfer to Entebbe for morning flight to Nairobi (flight not included.) Fly from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro airport. Met on arrival and transferred by road to Arusha to overnight hotel, breakfast only included. BB

Day 10 - Morning at leisure. Collect from hotel at 14h00 and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Overnight lodge. BD

Day 11 - Game drive Manyara, continue to Serengeti. Overnight lodge. FB

Day 12 - Game drives Serengeti, overnight lodge. FB

Day 13 - Serengeti, game drive en route to Olduvai. Continue to Ngorongoro, overnight lodge. FB

Day 14 - Crater tour, continue down Rift Valley to overnight Lake Manyara lodge. FB

Day 15 - Depart after breakfast to Arusha, arriving before lunch. Safari ends. BB
